Summary: Alice awakens from a terrible sleep to find her worst fears realized--the bloodthirsty Undead, which she and the now-annihilated squad of elite military fought to destroy, have been unleashed on the city that surrounds the secret facility of the Umbrella Corporation. Discovering she was an Umbrella experiment, Alice has been bio-genetically enhanced with new strengths, senses and dexterity--and she will need them. In the heart of the ravaged Raccoon City, a small group of uninfected people, including Jill Valentine, a recently demoted member of Raccoon City's elite Special Tactics and Rescue Services team, and Umbrella Corporation Security Officer Carlos Oliveira, fight for their lives against swarms of Undead and the deadlier and faster Lickers. Running out of luck and resources, the group is rescued by Alice, and they begin to wage an exhilarating battle to survive and escape before the Umbrella Corporation erases its experiment from the face of the earth. Their only hope lies ...

My Review: Resident Evil - Apocalypse: (2004 - Action, horror, sci-fi) Sequel to a movie based on a video-game. I liked the video game, and I rated that original movie a 3 out of 5. Unfortunately, the horror is gone from this sequel. It's mostly an action flick. Full of explosions, hot-biker chicks intentionally detonating the gas tank on her motorcycle after she crashes through the stained glass windows of a large cathedral. I'm not quite sure how she managed to land before her motorcycle, or how she survived the crash, or the fall, or how she managed to land on her feet in order to shoot the gas tank, or for that matter - How she knew to shoot the gas tank... This kind of wraps up the plot. What? Yup, that wraps it up. Completely preposterous plot. O.k. here's a little more: Biogenics company had an accident, now they have to wipe out all the mutants, zombies and residents in Racoon city. That's it. The only thing this incredibly poorly written movie has going for it is the occasional gratuitous nudity and the eye candy leads. Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory looked great in those preposterous costumes. 2 out of 5.

Summary: Years after the Raccoon City disaster, Alice is on her own; aware that she has become a liability and could endanger those around her, she is struggling to survive and bring down the Umbrella Corporation led by the sinister Albert Wesker and head researcher Dr. Isaacs. My Rating:
My Review: Resident Evil - Extinction: (2007 - Action, horror, sci-fi, thriller) The third installment of movies based on the video game (Resident Evil). Once again, there's very little horror in this movie. It's mostly an action flick. Full of explosions. Hot chicks and dudes. In this installment we're given a bit more plausibility in the indestructible nature of the main character. Speaking of 'babe-a-licious'. The main character is played by (once again) by Milla Jovovich. This time around she's a loner teamed up with roving heroes (led by Ali Larter playing Claire Redfield) in a quest to do away with those pesky scientists. For some reason, they're continuing to screw things up, and it seems as if she's the only one willing to put a stop to their insane ideas. The plot remains a bit preposterous, and I won't spoil it here. What I will say is this. It's predictable, a bit pedantic and less than believable. The only bright spot was Milla Jovovich wearing a skimpy outfit. 2 out of 5.

My Rating:
My Review: Resident Evil: Retribution - 2012 (Action, Horror, Sci-Fi) Not the first Resident Evil movie, and probably not the last. The franchise began in 2002, with the release of 'Resident Evil', written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (also directed Event Horizon, Mortal Kombat and AVP (Alien VS Predator)), and starring Milla Jovovich as Alice, the films lead character. This is the fifth movie in the franchise - Also written and directed by Anderson. Milla Jovovich is now 10 years older, but still looking hot in the chrome studded latex, leather and spandex. The action is just as hot as Jovovich in a non-stop, no holds barred battle against the 'Red Queen' an AI controlling the super-computer at Umbrella Corporation's headquarters. Once again she's plagued by virus mutated monsters and pawns of Umbrella Corp. She's injected with the T-Virus to restore her super-powers and save humanity from the ravages of the 'Red Queens' plans. As usual, the action outweighs the story, and the pace distracts us (as does Jovovich's costumes) from the thin plot lines. It is entertaining, and gets a 3 out of 5.
